Estimate the fuel cost for a trip

Fuel cost calculator

Calculate the fuel cost for a trip from the distance, your car's fuel consumption, and the price per liter.

Formula

liters needed = (distance ÷ 100) × consumption (L/100km) · cost = liters × price per liter

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find my car's L/100km figure?
Check your car's manual or spec sheet for the manufacturer's combined fuel consumption figure, or use your trip computer's average if it tracks L/100km directly. If it only shows km/L, divide 100 by that number instead.

Does this account for traffic or highway driving differences?
No — it uses a single average consumption figure for the whole trip. Stop-and-go city traffic typically uses noticeably more fuel than steady highway driving.
